TPS7A61-Q1: TPS7A6133-Q1 low vin operation

Part Number: TPS7A61-Q1

Dear Support team

From the data sheet of TPS7A61-Q1, the recommended voltage range is 11 V ~ and the accuracy is 2%.

Looking at Fig 6 etc., it seems to work even at 11V or less, but how is the output voltage accuracy in that case?

Regards

Tomohiro Nagasawa

  • Hi Tomohiro,

The regulated output voltage accuracy will remain 2%; however, we recommend that Vin be 11 V or greater for this device.

It has come to our attention that there was a very small chance of the output not coming up with lower input voltages (less than 11 V). We have added production screens to help further reduce the likelihood of this occurring; however, we also have increased the minimum input voltage to 11 V.

It should be noted that we have not seen any issues in off-battery automotive applications where this device is mainly used. This issue was only found in applications with a constant DC voltage less than 11 V.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
