TL431: Asking for the TL431AC and TL431AI VI(dev) spec

Part Number: TL431

Hi Team,
we are looking for the alt. parts.
could you please let me know which VI(dev) spec is better? TL431AC or TL431AI?
the bigger VI(dev) is better or the smaller VI(dev) is better?

Any application note can refer for detail?

BR,
SHH

  • Hi SHH,

VI(dev) is the deviation voltage from the internal bandgap reference over full temperature range. The larger the number, the more it deviates from the original reference voltage and causes inaccuracy. The smaller the VI(dev) the better.

Looking at the datasheet(EC 7.5), the TL431C has lower VI(dev) across all packages.

We do not have any app note that goes into details, but feel free to ask any questions in detail here and we can help answer them.

    Hope this helps,
    Ethan
