BQ40Z50-R2: PS Shutdown Not Working

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2

We enabled PS Shutdown and set the PS Shutdown voltage, then we discharge the pack cross the PS Shutdown threshold voltage. It didn't shutdown the pack. Any insight why it didn't shutdown?

    Hi Tim,

    Please check section 5.4.4, you need to make sure the gauge is passing all the conditions here. One of those conditions which could be a reason as to why you don't see the gauge going into shutdown is due to the fact that the REST bit needs to be enabled. If you are actively discharging the REST bit won't be enabled therefore you will have to make the battery rest enough time about >5 hours.
