Hello,

Please suggest a switching regulator with lowest IQ, my requirement is 3.3V @ 100mA max.

Input voltage is 14.4 from li-ion battery, the system remains in sleep at most of times with about 5uA current consumption and gets alive every 6 hours.

My target is to maximize my battery life.

Hi Anshuman,

I think you have a 4-cell battery pack, so you need to support about 17Vin maximum. TPS62125 is the lowest Iq device for that Vin.

If you had a 2-cell pack, you could use TPS62745.

Dear Chris,

TPS62125 is a good part however I would prefer a part which has got internal feedback and no external resistance network is required.

Hi Anshuman,

This is a very specific device that you have in mind. Why do you desire internal FB resistors?

If you reconfigure your battery pack to a 2S2P, the TPS62745 is a better fit and with internal FB resistors.

Dear Chris,

I am using battery pack in 4 in series connection as on the sensor require at-least 12V to function.

In my application I am making 2 supplies, the first one is momentary supply(switched on for 5 minutes in a day) for GSM module which gives 4V upto 3A and the second one which has to make 3.3V for MCU and will always remain on.

I want to use internal feedback as it reduces all chances of voltage accuracy and temperature performance is also good.

However if internal feedback is not available then I can use external resistance divider too.

Thanks for explaining. For the 3A GSM, we have the TPS62135 and TPS62136.
