TLC5955: Layout recommendations

I am working on a design that has a couple of questions based on the schematic provided.

1. VLED (LED supply voltage) and VCC are tied together.

2. All driver output pins are crossed to form a column of data , i.e., they do not follow the layout example of figure 36 in the TLC5955 spec sheet. The outputs are physically organized with channel 0 at the bottom of the PCB and channel 15 at the top of the PCB.

Is this recommended or acceptable?

Hi, Bod,

It is acceptable from LED driver side.

Please be noted the frequency of the output and make sure this won't affect other parts of your circuit.

Hi,

For example, if using 25Mhz GSCLK, the output frequency is around 25Mhz/2^16=380Hz.

Usually this won't cause any issue, but just a reminder.
