TPS549B22: Transient response and Bode plot relationship

Part Number: TPS549B22

Hi Expert,

The electrical specification is Vin=12V, Vout=0.8V, Fsw=315KHz, Ramp=R*2, Iout_max=17A.

As you know, higher loop bandwidth improves transient response.

Please see my measurement results of bode plot as below figure. (Injection resistor=10ohm)

The measured bandwidth around 100KHz which is 1/3 switching frequency.

I also measurement the transient response for double check the bandwidth. The result as shown below figure. (Load step: 8.5A-17A, Slew rate: 2.5A/us)

Through the calculation, bandwidth=1/(4*tp)=> BW should be 10KHz.  It confuses me.

What is the correct bandwidth of this circuit?

Is that BW=1/3fsw acceptable?  Have any side effect?

Looking forward to your feedback.

Cheers,

Muhsiu.
