Hi team,

Let me talk about TPS2492 power limit.
Programmable FET Power Limit works only at start up?
Or,Always monitor and function?
Please give advice on the monitoring timing of Power limit.

    Hi Yusuke-san,

    Power limit function works during start up and during output short circuit fault. Refer Figure 14 and Figure 15 in the datasheet. The device is set at 25W power limit and at 48V input voltage, the device starts up with 0.52A current.
    During short circuit condition, the the power limiting engine kicks in and limit output current to 0.52A.

    I recommend to consider LM5069 device over TPS249x. LM5069 has strong 230mA pulldown current and offers fast response during short circuit fault.
