Customer has the LMG1020-EVM.
Has three inputs, a DC input, bias source, and a function generator. However, with a laser diode connected, the laser is not firing.
Customer would like to know if the bias source might be the most likely problem.

Hello David,
Thanks for your question. This board is with very small size, and please try to utilize the test points in your case.
1. If you would like to have a laser diode, please remove the load resistors and replace the laser diodes instead. Please look into the user guide to know where the anode and cathode are.
2. Please make sure that you have correct gate signal from the gate test point.
3. Please make sure you have enough DC bias voltage. The current increase on the laser diode is based on circuit parasitics and DC bias voltage.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and regards,
Lixing
