I have trouble with the communication between the Smart Battery (containing a BQ40Z50R1) and my evaluation-Board of the BQ24780S. I can communicate with all devices via EV2400-interface and also setting up voltage and Current settings via SMbus Commands and/or using the BQ-Studio Software. Now I want the Smart Battery to communicate with my Charge IC to setting up current and Voltage automatically. But this don't work. I checked the broadcast settings of the bq40Z50R1 and everything seems fine. Only the Smart battery and the bq24780S are connected via SMbus. The Charge IC detect the AC-Adapter and also the Battery (BATPRES is low). Are there any settings or procedures to be done ?
