BQ24780S: exit learn mode criteria

Hi expert,

My customer want to know the criteria for exiting learn mode. As I know, we should check if Vbat<Vdepletion or #BATPRES is pulled high to determine IC in learn mode or not, for hardware. For firmware, we should make sure learn mode is enabled. Do we have other criteria for it? Thanks a lot!!

Hi Wang,

My customer encountered existing learn mode for all boards ( fail rate is 100% ). They enter learning mode first, the run re-load pattern, our charger will exit learn mode automatically. My customer check battery cell voltage is larger than 3V, they use 3.1V voltage battery.

BAT voltage lower than depletion threshold or BATPRES rising edge can reset Learn bit.

If the BATPRES signal is clean, please change BAT_DEPL_VTH setting to “00” to see any difference.
