TPS61194: If Sync input can be after EN signal

Part Number: TPS61194

Hi,Team:

Can you help to check If Sync input can be after EN signal? In datasheet power on timing, it shows Sync signal input first and then EN signal but in customer side, they need to enable the device first and then enable the Sync signal.

Thanks

  • Hi Alpha,

External SYNC signal can be inputted after EN signal but please keep in mind the following:

-External SYNC signal needs to be between 1.2 - 1.5 times higher than the frequency defined by the RBST_SET resistor
-Initial boost frequency will be set according to RBST_SET resistor until external SYNC signal is provided
-Initially if SYNC pin is high, spread spectrum will be enabled; if SYNC pin is low, spread spectrum will be disabled.
-It may take a few SW pulses for boost frequency to settle when first inputted
