UCC2803-Q1: What is difference between UCC2803-Q1 and UCC2813-3-Q1?

Hello Team,

I just got RFQ about UCC2803-Q1 from customer.

However when I look over TI.com, I found the UCC2813-3-Q1 which is very similar device. I think UCC2813-3-Q1 is lower price, and it has 2 types of package(SOIC and TSSOP). UCC2803-Q1 has only SOIC package.

Q. Could you let me know the advantage of UCC2803-Q1 compared with UCC2813-3-Q1?

    Hi Yuta-san

    This application note details the differences between the commercial grade devices, note that the devices you are comparing are both UCC28xx devices so they are the same temperature range.

    When look at the automotive datasheets the differences are reduce to only one line item in each section and then the difference is very small.

    Feel free to recommend either device family.

    I understood. I will promote UCC2803-Q1 to customer.
    If customer prefer TSSOP, I recommend UCC2813-3-Q1.
