We use BQ76930 + BQ78350 for our 7S1P  project,  HIgh side FET is used. when SCD protection,  Load detection is disable due to high side FET is used. I try VAUX pin for  charger present check, But SCD fault can not be clear,  could you please teach me how to clear the SCD fault and make FET on.  Thanks.

    Hi Zeng,
    The Short Circuit in Discharge Protection section of the -R1 technical reference (ASCD) shows recovery from time or LPEN which would not be useful for high side. Be sure LPEN is not selected, it is likely to give immediate recovery with the high side switching. See also the section 3.1.3 and check settings, if the part is set for pack removal (PRES signaling) this will be needed before ASCD will recover.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I did LPEN is off. our product is not removal, Not PRES button . so, enable removal recover is not selected.

    Now the DSG FET can resume automatically after the delay time.

    But I  want to clear the fault and resumE DSG FET by charger present ,Not automatically.

    VAUXEN is selected. VAUXR in DA is selected, Voltage input to  VAUX pin of 78350 from P+ by the same resister divider as BAT pin. But the charger present recover from short circuit protection never work.

    The technical reference did mention this function.

    Would like to know if I miss any.

    Hi Zeng,
    There seems to be a broken link in your post, perhaps I'm overlooking something.
    Charger present recovery is described for the OCD protection in 3.5. Charger present recovery is not described for the hardware protections in section 3.6.
