Thank you for the link. Is this mean we can skip many tests for total 30W power consumption system if the 30W system devided two circuit blocks by TPS25921A and each block power consumption is 15W (LPC)?
If yes, eFuse has lots of benefit, cost and time saving.

Correct. You can make 15W branch loads to convert it as LPC and save time and money for qualification.

Can typical fuse or PTC also make 15W branch?

Hi Watanabe-san,
UL certification is needed.
Some certified PTC devices are also available. But the challenge with PTC is accuracy with process and environmental conditions, which provides narrow usable range. For example, with 2x variation, we need to set typical value at 7.5W for a 15W branch.
The higher accuracy and repeat-ability with the eFuse are the key advantages.

If I can understand correctly, mechanical FUSE or PTC is also needed UL2367 certification for doing PTC branch.
Your example is PTC but I think fuse is also challenge for making PTC because of accuracy.
I will ask to the customer if they are considering UL certification in their product and PTC.
