TPS92515-Q1: About TPS92515 IADj Question

Part Number: TPS92515-Q1

Hi Clinton,

As last responses. Could you help provide reference schematic and explain relationship about "If really needed an offset can be added to the TPS92515 CSN to create a similar function."?

Since I confuse why MAXIM device design 0.2V on IADJ .

  • Hello Kuo,

A resistor needs to be placed between the CS resistor and the CS pin. If the input voltage is fixed another resistor from CSN to GND would create a slight offset on CSN. If the input voltage varies then it will require two additional components for a total of four, three resistors and a zener diode.

Another alternative is to place a large value resistor across the LEDs to prevent current from going to the LEDs when Iadj is zero.

Maxim just designed their part different than TI.

    Regards,
