TPS2112: Supply and leakage currents

Part Number: TPS2112

Hi,

The maximum supply current is different between IN1 and IN2 even though the test conditions are the same.(TPS2112 Datasheet Page.3)

Q1.What is the reason for this difference?
      Where is the terminal measurement?

Q2.Under the following conditions, is there a leakage current from the Out pin to IN2?
      IN1=5V
      IN2=0V
      VSNS=0V
      /EN=0V

      OUT=IN1

Best regards,
Seishin

  • Hi Seishin,

    While the test conditions are the same, IN2 is active, and this causes less leakage on the IN2 pin. If you notice, there is also a condition for when IN1 is enabled, and the behavior is reversed for both channels. The reason they are different is because one supply is active and the other is not.

    As for Q2, you can look at the "Reverse leakage current to INx" spec, and this specifies the reverse leakage to be 0.3uA typical and 5uA max.

    Thanks,
