TPS25921A , How to selecting the value of Cout ? what main factor needed to consider ? Typical design is selected 100uF which is big size for my system

    Hi Fandy,

    The application circuit in the datasheet considered 100uF to demonstrate inrush current control capability of the device. As such the device does not need any output capacitance.
    Can you share your use case details and end equipment. We have a new device TPS2595 -> smaller in size and 4A support. please check and let me know.

    But there is also have the question about how to select Value of TPS2595 Cout ?  I find it selected 1uF in Typical Application showed in datasheet Page 27, also selected 100uF in Page 31.

    My work condition:  Vin =5V ,Io =600mA, I set Ilimit=1A, OVset=17V,UVset=4.5V

    Hi Fandy,

    To demonstrate Quick Output Discharge Function for TPS2595, large Cout 100uF was used in Figure 62 of the datasheet. Otherwise, no such requirement on the output capacitance.
    For your application, you can use Cin as 0.1uF and Cout as 1uF for better noise filtering.
