TPS7A85: Request for a product (TPS7A85)

To whom it may concern,

I have a question about TPS7A85.

The datasheet stated that the output voltage range of the regulator is 0~5V.

However, the output voltage of up to 6V seems to be also possible if the input supply voltage set to 6.5V and the external resisters set well (for example, R1=12.4Kohm, R2=1.9Kohm).

Excuse me, could you let me know whether the TPS7A85 can supports an output voltage of 6V ?

I am looking for a regulator with an output voltage of 6V and an output current of more than 4A.

    Hi Jongwon,

    TPS7A85 was designed, characterized, and tested for output voltages up to 5 V.  

    We do have a few linear regulators that are designed for higher output voltages and rated for more than 4 A.  You can find these regulators on our parametric search.  I have filled out the Vout and Iout requirements on the parametric search for you here.
