TPS709: check values for input/output capacitor

Part Number: TPS709

hi we'd like to check both input/output capacitor values for the TPS70933/50 application

both input and output capacitor is 4.7uF/+-10%, is it ok?

we see from datasheet

input cap

0.1-2.2uF

output cap

 2.0uF above to 47uF

due to 4.7uF is the most common in customer pool as other values are in shortage

    Hi John,

    Yes 4.7 uF capacitors are acceptable for use on TPS709 as they meet the minimum capacitor requirements as stated in section 8.1.1 Input and Output Capacitor of the datasheet. Larger capacitors will aid the ac performance of the LDO (PSRR, nosie, and transient response). For instance, a larger output capacitor will reduce the over-and undershoot magnitude of a transient response.
