BQ27541: bqStudio support needed to program BQ27541

Part Number: BQ27541
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, BQSTUDIO

hi all,

in a production enviroment we are using EV2400 (with 0.18v firmware) to program bq27541-v200 parts.

As there are some issuse with firmware etc. we are looking for some solution to manage tests and programming.

As we can see bqStudio is very good option, but there is no support for bq27541-v200.

Is there any option to add support for this NRND chip?

For now we are using some other config to program our chips and it is OK but we are not sure that this way is 100% correct.

It is quite urgent case - please let me know soon.

thanks a lot in advance

KR

  • hi Vincenzo,

pls copy the attached  bqz file and place it in the config folder of bqstudio.

    C:\ti\BatteryManagementStudio\config

Your bqstudio will now work with the device. Is there any reason the customer is not using the latest firmware version? I would encourage them to do that instead.

  • hi

    Thanks for the prompt reply...

In new firmware version for EV2400 there is some change in output voltage control on PORT 2 (I2C) VOUT2 and PORT 3 (HDQ) VOUT 4. In v0.18 there is some voltage (4.2V or 5V if I remember correctly) and on never firmware version those outputs are set to 0V. We are using those voltages to power on some peripherals.

    That's the reason
