Hi Team,

The current EVSW version hasn't support reading .DFI/ROM file.

Is there any tool support it?

Hi Arking,

Is this your first project with the bq34z653? If so, we suggest that you use the bq40z50-r2 which has full support and tools complement for mass production. Our tools package for the bq34z653 does not have .dfi support.

it is end customer selection.
Do you any suggest for BQ34Z653 mass production?
I think using EVSW program srec file, it doesn't make sense.

I'll find out in 2 or 3 days. I need to talk to tools to find out programs used for old gauges.

it's mean we can use BQ40Z50 tool to read DFI file and follow it to program. right?

Hi Arking,

No, the gauge hardware is different. I'm not sure the newer tools are compatible with the older hardware. With the bq40z50 and other gauges in the bq40z series, yes, it will work.

Hi Arking,

I was wrong earlier partially. You can use the .dfi format. But, the .dfi version doesn't contain the proper version number. So you may accidentally put a newer version in an older version. I suggest that you use the bqmtester to export into the .rom format and use that for going into mass production.
