Hi John,

I don't think it is quite clear what you are looking for... are you looking for a FET driver to disconnect the entire pack? In this case it will depend on your cell count. If this is something like a 48V solution the bq76200 may work for you. If higher cell count you will likely need a discrete solution with a relay.

Our company plan to build 48V and 400V battery pack for automotive.

currently we just find solution like below

we wish find solution to do charge\discharge for all battery pack .

from your response.

Discrete solution with a relay ....

any suggestion from control relay .

I am bit confuse. Are you trying to charge/discharge cells showing in your picture or actual 400V automotive system?

Hi Roger,
Our target product is actual 400V automotive system.
Currently we try use TI EVB (one 570 + three 1402 EVM) to develop some software algorithm (like soc \ soh, charge\discharge, thermal control ....etc )
if you have any recommend other evb for BDU , you can also give us suggestion

Main purpose of emb1402 is active cell balancing.
It is not for SOC, SOH, charge/discharge.
They have to be developed by uC like TMS570.

What you see is to demo cell balancing with EMB and TMS evm boards.

I know we can develop many software in the TMS570.

That’s why we need addition solution for battery disconnect unit or BCU.

Like control relay … etc

sorry we do not have sw support for the TMS from the BMS unit.
