TPS63020

I'm working with buck-boost converter
(TPS63020), but I have problems when I have a load of resistor, when there is no load, it has a certain output voltage, but  When it is loaded it has no output.I don´t know the reason for this issue.

Features of my design:

Vin = 2.5-5V

Vout = 3.3V(it can alternate)

L = 1 uH

Feedback resistors 300k and (20k-120k)

Can you help me with this issue?

  • Hello,
    please check whether the typical min output cap of 30uF is attached (also consider the losses to to DC-bias of the caps).
    What is the value of the resistor load?
    Could you share the schematic?
    regards,
    Julian
  • Hi Regou,

    if there is accoustic noise from the inductor/capacitor it is related to the switching frequency. In PFM mode the switching frequency is changed with the load.
    You can avoid that if you pull PS/SYNC pin to high.

    Output current is dependent on the load. if the device does not source enough current, please cross check the input current limit setting.
