TINA/Spice/UCC28C42:

Part Number: UCC28C42
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

I have no idea why a simulation model I built using UCC28c42 to  design a simple HV buck converter with a  catch diode. Running at apporx 200kHz, output is supposed to be 270V from anb ibnput of 350V DC

I think the ref Voltage is 2.5V?

I am not even using a complicated floating gate drive. But using a switch, high side current xmfr based  current sense.

Is it possible that the current xmfr itself is the problem..since you do not define any of its ideal properties other than ratio.

But there should not be an problem of having 750 mOhm sense resistor in the high side.

Appreciate if you can point out why it wont work like typical buck?
