Is attatched waveform normal  Discontinuous Conduction Mode operation ?

Why one SW off waveform is different from next SW.

And we would like you to check customer circuit ,can I send circuit schematic by email?

  • Kura-san,

That is generally the correct waveform for DCM operation.  Every other switching cycle the switch current is going slightly below ground before the part enters diode emulation mode.  You can send the schematic to j(dash)tucker(at)ti(dot)com.  Please include your circuit conditions, any specific design requirements and the equations or methods used (Webench, excel, etc) to calculate the external component values.
