BQ24092: charging current

Part Number: BQ24092

Dear,

Our ctm find the charging current is changed during the charging process using BQ24092.

They set the charging current to 1A. At the begin of charging process , the current is 950mA ; after 2seconds the current change to 600mA.
They test 5000 sets, and 100 sets appear this problem.

Could you help to check if other ctms meet this question? Thanks!

  • Hello
A couple of things could cause this, the first thing to check is device temp. Thermal regulation--if device is overheating and output current is reduce. When die temp reaches 125C unit will enter thermal regulation and junction to board is 44.9 C/W. Depending on input voltage the power dissipation could be high.
