For the TI component MC34063ADR - according to:

5v to +12v boost circuit that described on data sheet page 8

5v to -12v boost circuit that described on data sheet page 9

What is the steady state continuous current [Max] that can be drive from the output ?

Hello Gil Schloss,

I think that you are posting in the wrong forum.

This forum is for AC/DC and isolated DC/DC applications.

The device that you are asking about is for non-isolated DC/DC applications.

In the design procedure table, there is a equation to calculate the Ipk (switch). Setting Ipk to 1.5A, the maximum output current can be calculated.

If use external MOSFET, the output current could be higher.
