Dear Sir,

My customer looking for a replacement part for LMR14030 with similar specs but higher efficiency.

The target is to have this buck converter operating at 95% or above efficiency under 12V Vin, 5V Vout, 1.5A Iout conditions.

Any type of buck converter is fine.

This part has to be able to co-work with TPS254900-Q1 USB port controller.

Could you help suggest suitable parts?

    Hello Ian,

    Assuming you need to operate at 2.2MHz, I suggest going with a controller like the LM25141. this will enable you to maximize the efficiency. if you are willing to give up some efficiency there are some synchronous buck converters with integrated FETs that will yield better efficiency than the mentioned LMR device, just not 95% at 2.2MHz.

    Let me know if the requirements mentioned are set, if so, the controller is probably the best option for maximum, efficiency.
