BQ24032A: Charge Disable Function

Hi Team,

I would like to ask two questions.

1)
Does "P-FET back gate body diodes are disconnected to prevent body diode conduction" refer there isn't body diode (red part) of Q2?
I believe it but would like to confirm just in case.

2)
The datasheet shows the following about DPPM pin.
----------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------
I believe the "disable the charging by driving DPPM pin high" indicate Q2 is completely off (disconnected) in this case.
Is my understanding correct?

Best Regards,

  • Yaita-San,
    1) That means that the gate body diode is turned off to prevent conduction
    2) In this case, Q2 will be turned off. However, if the OUT voltage drops below VBAT, Q2 turns on again and the device goes into supplement mode.
