TPS43061: TPS43061 – About current limit

Hi Team,

 

Our customer would like to cancel “ΔIL/2” of equation so they would like to take a limit at “Iave_max”.

Therefore, they add the capacitor to the following point.

Then, is there anything wrong?

Could you please let us know if you have other idea?

    Hi Kanemaru,

    Please don't implement this solution. The TPS43061 is a peak current mode controller and will not work properly if the current sense signal is filtered out to the average current. The internal current loop might become unstable.

    Based on the peak inductor current limit the average input current can be derived out. Does the customer require a high accuracy input current limit?
