bidirectional DC-DC converter buck- boost

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5170

I need to develop a bidirectional dc-dc converter using a buck-boost power stage.  I have seen these are limited to about 12v-48v bus rails for automotive applications.

I have a bus rail of 84V on the LV battery side and 325V on the HV side.  what limits the IC to lower voltages? The power I need to transfer is 1.2kw.

  • Hello Atish,
If you would, what is your application?
  • The application is renewable energy systems.  Im not sure if the c2000 series IC can achieve this without detailed software understanding/ modifications (something im trying to avoid) or the LM5170 can manage it with some additional driver ICs to isolate the higher voltages?

I am looking for a minimalistic transformer less, 2 switch solution (as apposed to using multiple Bridges which turns into 6-8 switches).

    Any recommendations/ suggestions highly appreciated.

I can reduce the high voltage spec down to 260V if it aids to simplify my problem.
