BQ27750: Qmax Update after Term Smooth is reached?

Part Number: BQ27750

Hello TI-Team,

One question about the DSG_0_SMOOTH_OK option:

I'm using a cell with a cut-off voltage of 2.5V (by datasheet), but the gauge should reports 0% SOC when 3.5V reached.

During the learning cycle I set Term Voltage to 2.5V. When I set Term Smooth Final Cell V Delta to 1000mV, the SOC should report 0% when 3.5V is reached, right?

What threshold is now used for an QMAX update? Is it 3.5V (when Term Smooth Final Cell V Delta is reached) or 2.5V (when Term Voltage is reached).

Thanks for clarification.

Patrick

  • Hi Patrick,

Why do you need the tern smooth final cell voltage. if you need the gauge to terminate at 3.5v , you can set the term at 2.5V and add some value in the reserve capacity. That is the preferred method in my opinion. but to answer your question, term voltage of 2.5 is what wil be used for qmax.
FCC on the other hand will be based off 3.5

    thank
