Design Relay Board controller and interface with IOT interface Current sensor board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-3OUTSMTSTRP, TIDC-WIFI-METER-READING

While using the current monitoring analysis i am looking for IC which will helpful for me to design a the relay controller board which is useful in such a way that whenever current sensor detect unwanted readings either it is high or low then signal will be send to relay board and It will shut down the power of these boards which is used with water pump, other industrial machines to make them preventive from damages,

Note: for monitoring analysis I am using Current sensor with IOT interface board store.ncd.io/.../ and the design I want to work with these kind of sensor should related to I2C wired connection protocol. Its something new an creative for me so for making it much more perfect your great suggestion and advises will be much appreciated.

  • Hello Robson,

Thank you for joining TI's E2E Forum.

I suggest looking at this reference design.

The TIDC-WIFI-METER-READING TI Design adds Wi-Fi® communications to the TIDM-3OUTSMTSTRP smart power strip design.

Wi-Fi connectivity is provided by the SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi CC32000 wireless MCU.

A remote user can monitor the electricity consumption of the loads plugged into each of the three outlets and control a relay to switch power on/off.
Smart power strips require connectivity to maximize their role in improving energy efficiency for applications such as data centers.

The TIDM-BLE-MTR-READING TI Design offers another connectivity option.

This design has the relay control of the power to the socket, which is what you are looking for.

There are many more reference designs that you can view and find ideas for your project.

Does this provide the assistance you were looking for?
