BQ24725A: Regarding multi-cell battery's cell balancing.

Hello, I am Kwon from South Korea.

I am considering BQ24725A for 4S1P Li-Polymer battery charger.

Regarding this, I have a question.

Usually Li-Polymer batteries have additional wire connector(v1, v2, v3, v4 and GND) for cell balancing purpose.

But it seems like that BQ24725A does not need a cell balancing circuit.

Is it OK without cell balancing circuitry?

    BQ24725A is a charger IC without extra pins to do cell balancing function. Typically, the gas gauge IC will monitor each cell voltage and do cell balancing. If you needs a cell balancing circuit for 4S1P Li-Polymer battery, please start a new post on gas gauge forum.
