TPS62822: Continuous current and switching current

Hi,

we have considered TPS62822 for our application. I was wondering what is the continuous output current and switching current of this part.

we are planning for output voltage of 1.85V. can we use the 470nH inductor mentioned in the application circuit.

Hello Ashwin,

It's my pleasure to support you.

In the datasheet at section 7.3 you will find the recommended operating conditions. The TPS62822 can operate up to 2A output load DC current at every Vout and Vin values within the recommended operating conditions. What do you mean by the switching current? The current in the inductor, or at the input pin?

At section 9.2.2.3 you can see that the 470nH inductor is recommended and you can also see which output cap value is better fitting with it.

Thanks Emmanuel for the quick reply.
Switching current i meant the current in the input pin.
The input voltage to the regulator will be from the Battery (fully charged 4.2V to 2.8V).
also what would be the current in the inductor?
