Hello,
We are using the BQ34Z100-G1 to read the battery SOC. The goal is to monitor the battery. If the SOC gets too low we do a clean shut down of the system.
We use 3 YUSA NP18-12b batteries in series. (18 Ah)
We configured the fuel gauge chip chemistry to YUSA NP7-12FR (14 Ah)
We run and the SOC steadily decreases. For testing we start with an SOC of 100%. After running for about 35 minutes the SOC reads 60%, the current goes from 9 mA to 11mA and the voltage drops correspondingly. The SOC then suddenly reads 0%.
I was expecting something different.
Is this the correct chemistry to select for our choice of battery?
Is this the expected behavior?
Thanks !
