TPS65218: Is a capacitor required for the L4A pin of DCDC 4 of TPS65218D0?

My customer is considering to change to TPS65218D0 and has questions.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

I am currently adding a capacitor with L4Apin for TPS65218B1 version.

Is it required for TPS65218DO, too?

If it is needed, I'll prepare the PCB in advance.

Also, are there any other points to be aware ?

Shinichi-san,

It is my understanding that you are referring to the issue with DCDC4 start-up on TPS65218 -B1 silicon, which is discussed in these threads:

The workaround for this issue was a small capacitor or schottky diode connected to L4A pin to absorb or suppress the inrush current.

This issue is fixed in the new TPS65218D0 silicon and the workaround is not required. Your PCB does not require an additional capacitor.
