TPS65279: current limiter accuracy

hi,

we are designing in w/ TPS65279 and need to set a current limit lower than 5Amp (in the range of 2-2.5).

we need to know more details about accuracy of current limiter (eq.2 of datasheet) as not indicated in the electrical table...

can the eq.2 be extended down to 1Amp, for example?

what would be the accuracy then?

do we have any characterization data?

    Hi Vincenzo,

    The peak current limit can't be set to value lower than 5A with acceptable variation.

    How much Iout do you need?

    TPS65261 (3A/2A/2A triple buck) or TPS54290 (1.5A/2A dual buck) seems to be better for your application.
