Hello,

The BQ24640 is the first super capacitor charger from TI. The follow up device will be the bq24651 super cap charger for solar power. But I can't find the BQ24651 on the TI's internet.

I need a super cap charger IC for solar power. which is the part No.?

Hello Xianrong,
Currently TI does not have a consolidated super cap charger IC for solar power. We have IC for super cap charging and solar applications separately. Workaround solution can be made with some trade offs, and more information on the power requirements of your system can help us recommend something else.

What are your solar panel specification (MPPT point), super cap voltage and charging current required?

MPPT is 13.2V.

the voltage is 10.8V.

For BQ25703A, this part is smart charger and you should need MCU to do MPPT estimation to timely program VINDPM value.

And this part also include ADC register then you can read solar panel voltage and current to calculate power rating.

Please let us know any further support need based on explanation.

Or you still need standalone charger for your application?
