TPS560200: Clarifying duty cycle

Part Number: TPS560200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62568

Hi,

I have a need for more clarifications around the max duty cycle. Generally 65% is given without explanation in the TPS560200 DataSheet.

Interestingly, for Webench simulations, 70% is achievable, and DS states that Minimum off-time can be as large as 400ns, which means max 76% duty cycle at 600KHz.

For 730KHz this figure drops to 71%. This is still far above 65%...

Webench states 730KHz Fsw when running Vin=5V, Vout=3.3V/200mA. This however is not possible according to the DS (Fig 4 and Fig 5), where we see that it should be rather below 600KHz for this specific case.

1- What is the real Fsw expected to be in our case?

2- Can you tell us more about what physics limit the duty cycle to 65% even in our case (5V->3.3V/200mA)?
We need to know with more statistical certainty at what temperatures etc the 3.3V may drop at 5V input and 200mA load.

Thanks.
