UCC25600: Supply current

Part Number: UCC25600

"VCC current, enabled" is max 7.5mA in the datasheet.

At which frequency?

  • Hello,

The device is enabled and the gate driver starts with soft start when Vcc goes above 10.5V (Section 7.4.2).

The switching frequency at soft start has been given as 142.5 kHz in Table 6.5. An equation for understanding switching frequency at soft start has also been provided in Section 7.3.1.

    Best,
    Emily
  • Hi Emily
thanks for the quick answer! I did not mean the softstart/transient period. As on page 11 written:
After the SS pin voltage reaches 4 V, the soft-start period is finished and switching frequency becomes the same
as demanded by the RT pin current. ->We talk about this steady switching frequency. To provide this 7.5mA, at what frequency is this the case? Or how can I calculate it?
  • Hello,

The "VCC current, enabled=7.5mA" was tested in 100kHz. Base on the Rt1=511, RT2=2.37k.
You can calculate the switching frequency by equation(18), from 8.1.3 in the datasheet.
But the switching frequency on the board may slightly different, cause by parasitic components influence the LLC gain curve.
We also have new device UCC25630x online, if you interested in LLC controller you can take a look on it.

    Best Regards
