TPS40210-Q1: 28V to 100V converter

Part Number: TPS40210-Q1

hello, Good afternoon.

I am designing an Rf phase shifter at high power around 1KW peak.

The design is carried out using a pin diode which requires -100V for reverse bias.

I got the circuit for 100V as below and modified one is also available as below

I have modified the same for -100V. attached

please suggest for the change if required.

Thank youwebench_esim_5769354_4_2_373495492.pdfupdated_28_100V.pdf

  • Hi Anilkumar,

Your modified circuit is wrong, and the inductor current cannot continue because D3 polarity.

To get a negative voltage from a positive source, you can use a flyback with a boost controller like the TPS40210-Q1, or use a inverting buck-boost with a buck controller. Since your voltage 100V, flyback should be a way to go.

    Thanks,
    Youhao Xi
