I try to use UCC28711 to design a auxiliary Power for 380V AC Motor Control. The input voltage is 540V DC, and the MAX voltage maybe high to 1200V DC.The out put of the auxiliary power with two output,one is 15VDC 300mA,and the other is 12VDC 600mA.How to design the transformer? I need the transformer parameter. Please help me.

Hi Ben,

For the 380VAC BLDC Motor when the it works we consider the Reverse EMF gerenate by the Motor,and the input voltage adding the Reverse EMF is up to 1.2KV.

So the input is from 486VDC(0.9*540VDC) to 1.2KV,and even bigger.

Thank your for the clarification. Do you need the two outputs isolated from each other or is it acceptable for them to share a common ground?

Thank you for your reply.

The 12V 600mA output needs the isolated for the man-machine interaction.

And the other output 15V 300mA shares a common ground with the transformer's primary side,which is connected to out of the rectification directly.

As a reference, TIDA-00173 is a 400V to 1.2kV, 50W flyback reference design that might be of use to you: www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00173
