BQ24100: Termination current for fast charge <250mA

Part Number: BQ24100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24210

Hi,

What is the internally set termination current for a ICHG < 250 mA?

I have a 350 mAh battery but with a fast charge restriction to 0.5C so ICHG is 175 mA. In the Jan 15 datasheet, Electrical Specification only gives a value for > 250 mA  (8-12%). In para 8.4.5.7 a figure of 20% is given.

Thanks,

Pete,

  • Hi Pete,

ITERM is set by the user by choosing the appropriate value for RISET2, as shown in the formula below:

The Electrical Characteristics table shows that the range of ITERM is from 15-200 mA, and the accuracy is +/- 20%.

Where in the datasheet are you looking? I can't find any reference to Section 8.4.5.7, nor can I find the figures you mentioned.

  • Hi Angelo,

Thanks for your quick response. I made a critical typo in the title - it should have been BQ24210.

Would you like me to post another question with the right title to keep things clear?

    My apologies,

    Pete.
  • Hi Pete,

Thanks for the clarification! Yes, please ask this question again in a new thread.
