BQ24210: Termination current for a ICHG < 250 mA?

Part Number: BQ24210

Hi,

What is the internally set termination current for a ICHG < 250 mA?

I have a 350 mAh battery but with a fast charge restriction to 0.5C so ICHG is 175 mA. In the Jan 15 datasheet, Electrical Specification only gives a value for > 250 mA (8-12%). In para 8.4.5.7 a figure of 20% is given.

Thanks,

Pete

  • Hello
I will have to check on this and get back to you.
Typical termination current is 10% of fast charge current, suspect the electrical characteristics table is correct.
Accuracy of the termination current will probably decrease below 250mA, sense voltage is getting closer to ground and harder to measure accurately. Suspect the 8% to 12% window will get wider.
  • Hello
The termination current is 10% of fast charge current.
Shift is tolerance (8% to 12%) going from 250mA to 175mA is not going to be that great.
