Is there a E-Fuse solution, for Automotive battery supply with 24v to 33v, 10-15Amp cut off, small size, low cost option along with electrical stress protection.

Hi Vikhyat,

We do not have eFuse solution to handle 33V max and 15-20A max rating. Can a solution with hot-swap controller + Ext FET works for you.?

Can you confirm LM5060 has current limiting only on startup. As I was looking for eFuse at 10A all the time at 24-33V supply, reverse polarity protection and low power dissipation is the key.

As diode reverse polarity protection is exhibiting significant power dissipation at 10A , even if you select industries best low voltage drop diode.

Hi Vikhyat,

You can consider LM5060 as high side switch with crude over current protection. During startup, the input current profile depends on external FET parameters such as GATE threshold voltage, trans-conductance, transfer capacitance around GATE.
The current limiting threshold for LM5060 depends on the external FET Ron which has wide variation with respect to FET process and operating temperature. So, for better current limiting needs please look at LM5069.
