LMZ14202H: design of a multiple output power supply

Part Number: LMZ14202H
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZM23601

Hi,

I am designing a multiple output dc-dc converter. The following is the spec.

Vin: 20 V-36 V, Vo1: 15 V/ 1 A, Vo2: 5 V/1 A, Vo3: -15 V/ 0.3 A.

Do you have any power module realizing multiple outputs? If not, do you have any suggestion for the design?

Thanks!

  • Hi user5137167,

TI's portfolio doesn't have any multiple output power module. However for your application, I'd recommended using the LMZM23601 for the positive voltages( Vo1 and Vo2). For Vo3, you can use the LMZM23601 in an inverting application following the application note(SNVA807). The only caveat to this is that the maximum allowable input voltage is Vin_max + Vo3 = 36V-15 = 21V. This means that for the negative voltage rail, you need to make sure that it will not be more than 20V which is your Vin min.

    Regards,

    Jimmy

  • Alternatively, for the Vo3 you can use the negative output power module LMZ34002.
