UCC28881: tida-01097 and sub-1g chip issue

Part Number: UCC28881

TI tida-01097 single firewire communication chip is bluetooth, is it feasible to use sub-1g chip si4432 (sending data working current in 35ma/10ms)?

Is there a good suggestion that a capacitor be added before LDO?

How to select capacitance?

Thankyou very much.

  • Hello Mia,

The output capacitor of the flyback converter using the UCC28881 is the input capacitor to the LDO. There is a design guide for this reference design that can be found at the following link. www.ti.com/.../tiduce6.pdf Section 2.26 on page 14 that gives detailed design steps for selecting this capacitor.

Sorry, I am not familiar with the si4432 from Silicon Labs so I will not be able to help with that device. You might need to contact someone from Silicon Labs applications team to help with this device.

    Regards,

    Mike
