U have a design based on a Webench cicuit that doesn't work. The symptom is that the chip presents a short-circuit to the input. I've tried adding a capacitor directly across Vin and pin 1 but the ICs still don't work. The circuit is below. My issue may have been not having my Vin caps close enough to the IC but will they have failed due to this? I'll add another post with a picture of the IC as there seems to be some discussion about early ICs being bad.
