Hi,
I am working on a PD adapter design which means that it will have different output voltage.
During the paper design, you know we should use the maximum output voltage and power rating for calculation, including RDM and RTZ configuration.
You know when the converter works at the same input voltage, the negative current is the same for ZVS energy.
It means that the demagetizing process at 5Vout will need much higher time than at 20Vout, it is because that the primary winding sustains lower N*Vo during demagetizing.
So the demagetizing time may be too short for 5Vout if based the paper design configuration.
So what is the right method to set the RDM and RTZ for PD application?
Also I know UCC28780 has TDM and TZ adjust ability, how is the adjust range for them?
If we set RDM/RTZ too small or too high, how does the converter behavior?
Please help advice.
